A LOT, unfortunately, has happened this week. I still haven’t caught up with today’s news articles and will have to get to that later. But at least the week started out on a bit of a high note. I unintentionally designated October 24 as GOOD NEWS DAY. Yemen got some help with a chlorine delivery from the UAE and some funding from Germany. I also found some beautiful photos on Twitter of scenery in south Yemen.
And now for the bad news…
- 10/27 – Thousands are struggling to survive without a salary and Yemen’s central bank was transferred to the southern city of Aden.
- 10/28 – FOOD CRISIS! Millions are at risk of starving.
- 10/29 – A Saudi led coalition air strike struck a house and killed at least 17 civilians AND the exiled president rejected a U.N. peace deal.
- 10/30 – There was an attempted suicide attack outside the central bank and dozens were killed in an airstrike on a prison.
Hopefully in this coming week I’ll get around to posting a bit more about Yemen outside the news of the war. Until then, please note the categories linked on each post for more info on news updates, interesting posts from Twitter, charity work, etc.
