Two Yemeni brothers were handcuffed and detained Saturday at Dulles Airport and “forced to sign papers that they neither read nor understood.” They were then placed back on a flight to Ethiopia.

The brothers had already been granted permanent US residency and were traveling to Michigan to be with their father who is a US citizen.

Lawyers for the brothers say that they were not given access to legal advice while detained at Dulles, had to pay for their return flight, and were coerced into unlawfully signing documents to relinquish their green cards.
