From Huffington Post:

While many, especially in the US since the Yemen raid, are talking about how the war in Yemen is a proxy war between Saudi Arabia and Iran, don’t forget the domestic conflicts. Understanding Yemen’s local politics, the history of how this conflict started, is important to ending the war and bring peace to the region.

The war is also being fought on multiple fronts: The Saudi and American drone/airstrikes, fighting along Saudi Arabia’s border and Yemen’s coast, Houthi rebels fighting armed groups in Taiz and Marib, the people fighting famine, and Houthis fighting extremist groups.

And after 2 years of war, the warring groups have yet to reach an agreement to end it.
