The Saudi Arabia permanent mission to the United Nations hosted a meeting from 2/27 – 3/2 meeting with experts about restoring the legitimate leadership in Yemen.

Some of the discussions about the Houthi rebels included:

  • Recruitment of children soldiers .
  • Violations of Security Council and international law.
  • Damages they’ve caused to civilian installations in Saudi Arabia.

Experts at the meetings also gave military and humanitarian briefings.

The meetings were attended by John Ging, operations director of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), and representatives of UNICEF, the UN Environment Program, the UN Population Fund, the UN Department of Safety and Security, the World Bank and the World Food Program (WFP).
