From TRT World:

Ayman Saif fled his home in Damascus to Yemen, where war seems to have followed him to his new country.

On his life in Yemen’s capital Sana’a, he says, “Not one day have I felt like a foreigner. The Yemeni people are kind, gracious, and hospitable.”

He set-up a falafel restaurant and got the idea to give free meals to those in need after a customer bought a sandwich for a hungry child. The restaurant is always busy and the customers are happy.

A falafel sandwich only costs around 30 cents. There is a sign in the restaurant that says, “If you’re hungry and can’t pay, the sandwich is on the house.”

He says, “It helps the school children. It helps the poor. It helps a lot of people.”
