From Reuters:

Saudi Arabia’s defense minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman stated in a televised interview that Saudi intervention in Yemen from 2015 was necessary to restoring Yemen’s internationally recognized government. He also stated that the Saudis are unable to hold talks with Iran, who they say backs the Houthi rebels in Yemen, because of extremist ideologies.

Saudi Arabia could launch a land offensive in Yemen to crush its Iranian-aligned Houthi enemies but the cost in casualties would be heavy on both sides, the kingdom’s powerful deputy crown prince said on Tuesday.

If casualties from an offensive by land would be too high, I wonder what Saudi Arabia thinks of all the casualties caused by dropping bombs? Are those numbers not too high?
