From Voice of America News:

A collapse of the healthcare system, destroyed hospitals, and unpaid salaries are a couple of the factors that Doctors Without Borders (MSF) say might be contributing to a possible cholera epidemic. In the last three weeks, MSF have treated more than 570 suspected cases of cholera.

Cholera is caused by fecal-contaminated water and food. It is easily treatable but can be fatal if not treated quickly.

Yesterday, 69 confirmed cases of cholera were reported at one hospital in Sana’a.
