It’s that time of year…. the holy month of Ramadan…. and it is featured in this week’s photos from around Sana’a. This is a glimpse of life in the city outside of bombs and cholera.

Since I have never heard of Kohl, I went in search of more information. The below video explains what Kohl is, which is basically an eyeliner. Just be aware that this video has weird eye disease photos (which apparently the eyeliner helps cure).
