Daily Prompt: Inhabit

Another day, another airstrike in Yemen, more civilians were killed. The inhabitants of the buildings struck were families, including children. Why were they a target? Why is the United States supporting this coalition?

The following is more on the story…. There are no graphic photos or video in this post. This should be enough. News that Saudi warplanes with US support flew over homes killing children should be enough. Their only crime was going to sleep that night!

Faj Attan is a residential neighbourhood in the south of Sana’a where three buildings were hit by airstrikes around 2 am local time. The strikes reduced two of them to rubble, and severely damaged the third one, making the retrieval of bodies and of the injured extremely difficult. “From what we saw on the ground, there was no apparent military target.”

“Until now, 27 people have been found under the rubble.”

Also a Yemeni activist/journalist/dad/husband has still not been released since being kidnapped on the 14th. His two boys are probably missing their dad and frightened during these airstrikes without him. He needs to be released ASAP so he can return to his family and also to sharing the news of what’s happening in his country.
